Val Rabold

Val has had her works accepted in the last three juried Exhibitions of the Botanical Artists of Canada and has also exhibited at the Sherway Gardens’ Gallery – ‘Going Native: Botanical Artworks of Canadian Native Plants’, and at the Oakville Town Hall where she received an honorable mention for her ‘Smooth Serviceberry’ (Amelanchier laevis) in the 2009 ‘Lifethreads: A Visual Exploration of our Natural World’ Exhibition.

Her interest in plants began from an early age when she and her sister would go on long walks with their father, an ardent photographer (flowers being one of his favourite subjects). His love for nature created a lasting impression and appreciation that inspires Val in her artistic endeavors.

Val lives and works in downtown Toronto and vacations in the Haliburton Highlands.
